Hands-on Teen Camp (grades 6 and up) (Monday-Friday 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.)
In our weeklong Teen Camp, young foodies will expand their culinary knowledge and experience the joy of creating pastas, doughs, sauces, homemade ricotta cheese, pastry cream, and so many more fabulous recipes from start to finish. They'll learn from our expert Italian instructor, Mary Cooney, how simple, seasonal ingredients, and a little culinary wisdom, can produce delicious results.

Monday: Homemade Spaghetti & Meatballs and Cheesy Garlic Bread
Tuesday: Homemade Potato Gnocchi With Two Sauces: Creamy Tomato Sauce, Cheese
Sauce, Chicken Cutlets, and Broccoli With Garlic
Wednesday: Homemade Cavatelli With Two Sauces: Tomato Sauce With Braised Chicken Thighs, Creamy Pesto Sauce, and Blistered Green Beans
Thursday: Homemade Pizza Dough for making Personal Pizzas With Pepperoni, Sausage, and Cheese, 4-Cheese Calzones, and Parmesan Breadsticks
Friday: Homemade Cannoli Chips With Homemade Ricotta Filling, Cream Puffs With Vanilla Pastry Cream, and Ciambella (Italian Lemon Cake) with Icing

Mary Cooney is a first-generation Italian-American who has a passion for teaching that is hard to equal. She loves to share her knowledge of authentic Italian dishes as well as baking pies and desserts. She has been on staff at the SOC since 2005.
