Megan Thompson - Culinary Center Instructor

Megan is an accomplished cheesemonger and cheesemaker with over six years of hands-on experience and a lifelong connection to food. Born and raised in Centerville, Ohio, she comes from a food-loving family where cooking from scratch and sharing flavorful meals—rooted in her Italian heritage—were a way of life. This foundation shaped her deep appreciation for fresh ingredients, thoughtful technique, and the joy of gathering around the table. The day after graduating high school, Megan began her career as the youngest cheesemonger in the Specialty Cheese Department at Dorothy Lane Market, where she has continued to grow her craft ever since. Through years of daily customer interaction, continued learning, and hands-on cheesemaking, she has developed both deep product knowledge and an intuitive ability to connect people with flavors they love. Known for her warmth, curiosity, and genuine passion for teaching, Megan believes great food is best enjoyed alongside great conversation—and that exceptional customer service is at the heart of every memorable culinary experience.
