Connie Barney Wilson is an Ohio-born transplanted Californian now living in the heart of rural France. With great passion for sharing her experience, she leads culinary tours in several regions of France for her company, France à la Carte, and travels regularly to the U.S., promoting the joys of French cooking and lifestyle. Connie helps her clients experience these regions fully through an understanding of their food and culinary traditions, guiding small groups through the local food markets and teaching cooking classes for her week-long programs. Based on her years of in-depth knowledge of French food and culture, she's a natural teacher, with an abiding love for the food of France and an ability to make cooking seem easy.Connie was previously the director of the cooking schools of Roger Vergé, celebrated chef/owner of Le Moulin de Mougins, near Cannes. She's a Certified Culinary Professional and holds the Grand Diplôme from La Varenne. She is a member of the IACP, San Francisco Professional Food Society, and Slow Food International.
