Andrew Schloss - Culinary Center Instructor

Andrew Schloss is known by his readers and students for his inventive recipes and his ability to explain technical aspects of cooking in entertaining, understandable terms. An outstanding instructor, Andrew was nominated as Cooking Teacher of the Year in 2005 by the IACP. We welcome him back to DLM for his summertime grilling class: Mastering the Grill.Andrew is the co-author with David Joachim of Mastering the Grill, a New York Times Best Seller. He is the author of twelve cookbooks, including Almost From Scratch, Homemade in a Hurry, 2500 Recipes: Everyday to Extraordinary, and his newest, The Art of the Slow Cooker. He has written articles for The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Tribune, Bon Appétit, Food and Wine, and Family Circle. Andrew has made numerous appearances on national and local television and radio throughout the country and is the national spokesperson for the National Potato Board, Whirlpool Ovens, and The Canned Food Alliance. Andrew is the President of Culinary Generations, Inc., a product development company, creating food products for major food manufacturers.

About Private Events

Culinary Center Class Cancellation & Registration Policy

Culinary Center class registrations may be cancelled up to 7 days prior to the scheduled class date to receive a full refund, with proper notification. Cancellations made with notification after the 7-day deadline are eligible for credit toward future culinary class registrations if notification is given prior to the day of a class. If you are unable to attend any class, you are welcome to send a substitute in your place. To give proper notifications for a cancellation or notice of a substitution, please contact the culinary center location where your class is taking place. Any no-call, no-show participants forfeit refunds or class credits. The DLM Culinary Center reserves the right to cancel a class, when necessary, due to inclement weather, emergencies, or insufficient enrollment, and may also substitute instructors or food items when required. In the event that a class is cancelled, registered students will receive a full refund or credit, as applicable.
