Welcome! After you settle in to the hotel in Girona, where you’ll stay for three nights, there will be time to explore prior to a welcome dinner at a phenomenal restaurant at 8 p.m.
Located in the northeast of the Catalonia region, about an hour away from the French border, this city is renowned for its medieval architecture, beautiful gardens, and unique position overlooking the Onyar River. After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll take a guided tour of Girona with time afterwards to see where the cobblestone streets take you as you explore on your own and grab lunch. The group will reconvene at 3 p.m. for a special visit and tasting with a chocolate producer.
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll travel with the group to the picturesque village of Cadaqués, a city beloved by artist Salvador Dalí. You’ll have free time to explore the village or soak in its beautiful beaches. Everyone will come back together then for a group lunch in Cadaqués before transportation back to the hotel. The evening is yours to explore.
Luggage will be collected before you depart the hotel and we travel further south along the Catalonia coastline, making a stop in Agramunt before our final destination. Here, we’ll make a sweet stop to learn more about a regional confection and how it is made, including a tasting. After this sweet start, the group will then enjoy lunch together in Agramunt before continuing the journey to the hotel in Tarragona to settle in for a three-night stay.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before traveling to the nearby Cabra del Camp to explore a charming winery built on the foundation of a Catalan farmhouse that’s surrounded by its vineyard. After a visit and tasting, we’ll travel back to the hotel where you’ll have the afternoon to yourself. The city is situated along the beautiful Mediterranean Sea coastline, which isn’t far from the hotel. At 4 p.m., the group will take a guided tour together of Tarragona, soaking in much information about its culture, history, and architecture, including some of the remaining Roman-style ruins. You’ll then be treated to a delightful meal together with the group.
A hands-on cooking adventure awaits, right from the kitchen of the hotel. Roll up your sleeves and work with a professional chef for a hands-on cooking experience that’ll result in a delightful lunch to enjoy. Afterwards, the day is yours to soak in the golden sand beaches and unique offerings of Tarragona.
Today, it’s time to pack up and begin the journey to Barcelona where you’ll be staying the remainder of the trip. But along the way, there’s a special stop in La Bisbal del Penedès for a visit and tasting with an olive oil producer. You’ll then continue the journey to Barcelona, a city renowned worldwide as a hub for arts, culture, and of course, good food. There’s much to take in together in the next few days, but enjoy this first evening on your own.
After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be ready to join the group for a guided tour of Barcelona! With so much to see and do in the morning, you’ll be ready for lunch, and there is a special one planned at a renowned tapas restaurant. The rest of the day is yours to continue soaking in the best of Barcelona.
You’ll seemingly travel back in time with a modern twist as the group takes a tour of La Boqueria Market, located in the heart of Las Ramblas with history dating back to 1836 as an open-air market where traveling merchants and farmers convened. Afterward, you’ll have a unique opportunity to meet a local artisan specializing in espadrilles, a type of footwear that melds functionality with artistry. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy in Barcelona. The group will reconvene at 8 p.m. for a final dinner together.
