Sautéed Chard, Garlic, & Mushrooms

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bunch local chard
  • 2 Tbsp DLM Pure Olive Oil
  • 2 green garlic cloves, minced
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes, or more to taste
  • 4 oz local mushrooms, diced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Kosher salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Wash and dry chard leaves. Remove the stems and thinly slice. Roll the leaves of the chard and slice horizontally into wide strips. Set both aside.

Heat the olive oil in a sauté pan on medium heat. Add the minced garlic with the red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute. Add in mushrooms and let cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add the lemon juice and chard stems, cook for 1-2 minutes until tender. Add the chard leaves and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until slightly wilted.

Season to taste with the salt and pepper and serve.
