Swiss Cuisine Classics

Come and enjoy an evening with tiktok sensation Kim Underhill Pluess and Certified Specialist of Wine George Punter for a culinary journey and wine pairing through Switzerland. Kim spent a large part of her life in Europe picking up recipes from family and friends. We'll travel with our taste buds from the city of Zurich to the southern Ticino region, and back up through the ski resorts of the Alps. Known as the sauce queen since the 1980s, she'll not only teach us how to make some of her delicious sauces, but will give tips for travel plans off the beaten track since she is also a personal travel concierge for I Know a Place. Kim will demonstrate recipes from her life in Switzerland that reflect quintessential Swiss home cooking and George will serve the perfect wine pairings.

Kim's love of cooking brought resulted in her being a tiktok influencer! Kim's travels and repertoire of recipes, including her great grandmother's, her Italian mother-in-law, friends, and family she met while living in Europe for over 20 years, is the recipe for her success for this unexpected platform and audience. Known as the sauce queen since the late 80's, cooking for her children is one of her love languages and she's excited to share her style of cooking with us.

George Punter, CSW, came to DLM in 2002 after a long career at NCR. His love of wine has helped him to create a new career as the Beer & Wine Manager of our Washington Square store. George is also a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW).
